This tweaking has gone on long enough. I’m itching to get this Profitmart page out there.
I wrote some text for the homepage last night. You can check the site at workathomejobs4me if you’d like to see it. I managed to squeeze in most of my keywords. Hopefully I didn’t use the “dog training” keyword too much. Google will consider it keyword spamming if you overdo it.
I did a preliminary keyword analysis at webmaster-toolkit. Here are the results: Read the rest of this entry »

Before I get this Profitmart Google ad up and running I need a better domain name to send people to. I’m going to register a domain with an URL redirection service so I can work around the fact that my site is called workathomejobs4me.com.
I browsed around and found a couple of these services. The trick is you want to find one that doesn’t put ads on your site. Read the rest of this entry »

Today I’m going to started on the Adwords campaign for “dog obedience training”.
Some of you may have tried Adwords before. If you haven’t you might be hesitant because of the potential cost. It’s true that if you’re careless you could run up a large advertising bill with few results. It’s pretty easy to control the costs and ramp up the campaign slowly based on success. It will cost some money but the results are usually worth it. Read the rest of this entry »

The adwords ad is up and running for the Profitmart dog training site. I don’t have a lot to say today. If you watch the video you will basically be looking over my shoulder while I put it together. I talk about all the do’s and dont’s. Read the rest of this entry »

Well the results are in from the initial Profitmart site campaign. Nothing scorching. In fact it’s a little “tepid”. I guess I’m just used to better campaigns. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve decided to spruce up the Profitmart page by adding some bonus products. I didn’t really want to write them myself so I thought I’d see what kind of PLR and MRR products I could dig up.
MRR books are ebooks that can be resold for as much as you want. PLR books are similar but also allow you to rewrite, reformat them and claim full ownership. There are a huge number of these products available for rock bottom prices and varying levels of quality. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve been getting lots of ad impressions but for some reason my ads are showing up past position 8 for my 49 cents. That’s keeping my CTR to rock bottom since hardly anyone sees the ad. There seems to be more competition all of the sudden. Google may have also evaluated my quality score as being too low. I might need to get the keywords more into the ads and have them matching on my page. Probably a repercussion of changing the ad to put in all the “added bonus” stuff. Read the rest of this entry »

Quick update on the Profitmart dog training Google campaign. I spent $9.43 yesterday for 16 clicks. That got me an average position of 7.8 with the bulk of them (dog training) being at position 6.9. I had set my budget at $20 for the day. Since I didn’t hit the budget that may indicate that I should be looking at a similar cost per day. I’ll see what it runs up to today before I change anything. My average Click Through Rate is still at less than 1% but as long as Google doesn’t disable the ad I’m OK with that. It will just take longer to get the same number of clicks.
