Profitmart? Money? Blog?

Today begins the grand experiment. I’m giving myself 30 days to make affiliate income with my Profitmart site.

For those of you unfamiliar with Profitmart I’ll do a quick overview. Profitmart is a turnkey website creator that allows it’s owner to build a simple website that is monetized with Clickbank, Amazon, Ebay (affiliate income) and Adsense (ad income). Profitmart members can also make a monthly income from signing up other members.

For the most part I believe that successful Profitmart members make money primarily through signing up members. Through “The Profitmart Experiment” I want to see if it’s possible for me to make the site profitable through affiliate income alone. I have been internet marketing for the better part of a year and have had some decent success in other areas so I think I have a good shot at making this work. If I succeed this will hopefully serve as a blueprint for others to follow suit.

I’ve had my Profitmart site since last spring. Somewhere along the way I got frustrated with the interface. I decided to abandon it and put up a different website using the hosting provided for Profitmart. It was pretty easy to do. The Profitmart site runs off of an index.php file. If you add an index.html file to your root directory it will ignore the index.php file and load your site instead. The drawback of this was that I lost the integrated feeds for Ebay, Amazon, etc.

If you want to see the site I replaced my Profitmart site with it’s here: http://www.workathomejobs4me.com/wahj4m.html

My current Profitmart site is here:
http://www.workathomejobs4me.com. This will be constantly changing as I update the work in progress.

Here’s a snapshot of the site on day 1 of the experiment (today)
