The Profitmart Experiment

Since I only have 30 days to start generating some income from this Profitmart site I want to get something up and running as soon as possible. The catch is that I don’t want to put just anything up. I need a site that makes sense and looks finished. That doesn’t mean this has to be an authority site on dog training. As long as the site looks complete I would feel comfortable launching it. I don’t want a bunch of “under construction” links or stuff that looks like it doesn’t belong to this niche.

I’m going to approach this in three phases:

Phase I: Initial site

• Main page that describes what this site is about
• Product sales page for SitStayFetch (done!)
• Ebay listings page for “Training Products”
• Clickbank page for “Training Ebooks”

Phase II: Rounding out the content (if the initial tests on this niche are good)

• Top five dog training ebooks page

Phase III: Additional content that I may or may not get to

• Some supporting Amazon products in the side panel but only if decent ones come up automatically. Otherwise I will do a custom selection of these in a later phase.
• Possibly adsense in the right panel if I get enough content to make the correct ads show up
• Top five dog training products page
• Review page

Until I have sufficient “text” content on the Profitmart site there’s no point putting adsense on it. Adsense reads the content to determine the selection of ads to place. This might work if I had some intro paragraphs on the ebay and clickbank pages.

For today I’ve recorded a Camtasia video that shows how to get the ebay page up. I didn’t end up using the “out of the box” Profitmart method because it would have put the ebay listings on all the pages. I also have a lot more control if I put them up there my self. The end result is very similar.

Tomorrow we’ll look at putting clickbank listings on the Profitmart site. I’ll probably do something similar to today’s technique.
