Day 18: Adwords running
I’ve been getting lots of ad impressions but for some reason my ads are showing up past position 8 for my 49 cents. That’s keeping my CTR to rock bottom since hardly anyone sees the ad. There seems to be more competition all of the sudden. Google may have also evaluated my quality score as being too low. I might need to get the keywords more into the ads and have them matching on my page. Probably a repercussion of changing the ad to put in all the “added bonus” stuff.
I’ve raised my minimum bid to 75 cents to get myself back on the first page. I’ve also added “sitstayfetch” as a keyword which I should have done in the first place. I should create a new ad group that focuses on sitstayfetch to get a better quality score for that term. I’m going to let this thing run and rack up some clicks anyway. It’s a bit of a gamble but I’m not too concerned about the money. Sometimes you have to risk a bit to get returns.
I haven’t started article marketing yet but I did edit some of the PLR material to clean it up and rebrand it. I can probably use some of that for articles if the content doesn’t already exist on article sites. Otherwise I could do more rewrites and submit it. That will get me going in the natural search results. I still haven’t tried my secret weapon either.
