The Profitmart Experiment

I decided that to make this Profitmart site look a bit more professional I wanted to put an image into the header. The tricky part about this is that I want the image to span the entire header and I want some text to go in front of it. If I just stick an image in the header the text would show up below or beside it which isn’t the look I’m going for.

Here are the steps I took:

1. Surfed some free photo sites to find royalty free dog images 
2. Put together a header image in photoshop
3. Uploaded the image to my Profitmart site using FTP
4. Put a table into the header
5. Moved my heading and sub-heading into the table
6. Added the line: background=”url of my image” to the table
7. Added: height=149 to the table which was the height of my image
8. A couple of other things that are in the flash video

I’ve created a flash slideshow with audio to demonstrate these steps.
