Day 5: The Iframe Technique
Today I want to look at a simple html technique that will allow me to put someone elses sales page onto my Profitmart site. This technique uses an html method called “iframes”.
Let’s use the SitStayFetch ebook as our test case.
Here’s a quick overview of the plan:
- create a new keyword category for “SitStayFetch”. I’m going to target the brand name specifically as this will be our SitStayFetch page.
- Figure out what our affiliate link is to send someone to the real SitStayFetch sales page
- Edit our Profitmart SitStayFetch page in the built in editor.
- Create an iframe that will insert the sales page inside our SitStayFetch page
- Adjust the size of the iframe to match the size of the sales page
Because I’m too lazy to write out all the steps I’ve done this up as a flash tutorial. I apologize for the lousy sound quality. I’m still working out some of the production bugs.
Click here to watch the iframe demo
And here’s the code that you need to generate the iframe:
<IFRAME src=”CLICKBANK HOPLINK” frameBorder=0 width=745 scrolling=no height=16700> Alternative text for browsers that do not understand IFrames.</IFRAME>
We’d better get this sucker launched soon. The clock is ticking.

Mike,
I know that when you use this technique it loads the sales page under your ClickBank ID, but I was wondering if the ID is tracked when a surfer clicks on a link in the sales page that is then displayed in our ProfitMart site???
Colud this be a problem in getting conversions?
Thanks,
Jim Davies

I sent this and was asked to re-submit because of your SPAM problems.

I signed up for the special and I am supposed to be able to email a list of 20,000 every 2 days. How do I access the list and set up my ads to be mailed???
Thanks,
Jim Davies

Hi Jim,
To answer your first question - I tested the Iframe technique and it does preserve the affiliate links if you do it as I described. You can double check by clicking on the links yourself and looking for your clickbank ID on the referral page.
I’m not sure about your second comment. Are you confusing me with someone else?
